Daytime sleepiness among health workers affected by COVID-19 during the “OMICRON” wave

Introduction Excessive daytime sleepiness is a frequent symptom in the general population. It may be fleeting, due to transient circumstances, or it related certain pathologies. Indeed, following their infection with SARS-COV2, several healthcare workers (HCWs) have complained of excessive sleepiness. Objectives This study was conducted assess SARS-COV2-affected HCWs during “OMICRON” wave. Methods Cross-sectional descriptive study, among Charles Nicolle Hospital COVID-19 period from 22 December 2021 31 January 2022. Sleepiness assessed using Epworth Scale administered return work medical visit. Results During wave, 58 joined our study. The average age 39 +/- 10 years. sex ratio (M/F) 0.2. participants had no previous history sleep disorders. found 21 (36% cases). mild 81% cases, moderate 14%, and severe 5%. category most affected senior technicians 57% cases. Most suffering were working gynecology department (19%) neurology (19%). Conclusions Early systematic screening for disorders after any SARS-COV2 necessary ensure good health reduce accidents errors professional procedures. Disclosure Interest None Declared
